All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ Arthur VICK (1713-1780), will dated 9 Apr 1777, proved 14 Dec 1780 In the name of God Amen I Arthur Vick of the county of Southampton and state of Virginia being sick and weak of body but of sound and disposing mind and memory thanks be given to almighty God for the same do make and constitute this my last will and testament in form and manner following, imprimis: I give and bequeath unto __(blank in will)__ and his heirs forever the land and plantation whereon he now lives, also what stock he has in possession and also what household furniture and plantation utensils he has on the plantation. Item: I give and bequeath unto my son Shadrach and his heirs forever the land and plantation whereon I now live, also what stock, household furniture and plantation utensils I have in my possession on the land and plantation, also one negro man named Adam. My will and desire furthermore is that my still be applied to the use of my three sons namely Arthur, Samuel, and Shadrach an each may have occasion. Also what money and acct are due to me be divided equally between my three sons aforesaid. lastly I appoint my sons Arthur and Samuel executors of this my last will and testament. In witness whereof I have set my hand and affixed my seal this 9th day of April 1777.
