I desire that all the perishable part of my Estate be immediately sold after my decease (except such Articles that I Shall hereafter Will away) and out of the money arising therefrom as well as the debts due me all my just debts to be paid and the surplus if any to be Equally divided among my children. 2nd. I give to my daughter Mary K. Vick one feather Bed and furniture, one first choice cow and calf and Ten dollars in money to her and heirs forever. 3rd. I give to my son James Vick one feather Bed to him and his heirs forever. 4. I give to my son Gilbert V. Vick one feather Bed, to him and his heirs forever. 5th. I give to my son Jesse B. Vick One feather bed to him and his heirs forever and also his board and tuition, for the next year 1830, or any other year, if more convenient, so that he may have one more year schooling the money for that purpose to be paid out of my Estate. 6th. My Will and desire is that my negro girl Patience be sold immediately after my decease and the money arising therefrom to be Equally divided among my two daughters Mary K. Vick and Martha E. Gardner. 7th. My Will and desire is that my negro girl Dilsey be hired out every year, until my son Jesse B. Vick arrives at the age of twenty one years then my will and desire is for her to be Sold and the proceeds of the said hire as well as the money arising from the sale of the said negro girl Dilsey be Equally divided among my Children And Lastly, I do hereby constitute and appoint my son James Vick and George Gardner my Executors of this my last will and Testament. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal, this 23rd. day of January in the year of our Lord 1829. Pierce Thomas Clinch At a Court held for the County of Southampton the 16 February 1829 This last Will and Testament of Sally Vick decd. was proved by the oath of John Denegre and Thomas Clinch two of the Witnesses thereto and ordered to be record. And on the motion of James Vick one of the Executors therein named (George Gardner the other Ex'or appeared in Court and refused to take upon himself the burthen of the Execution of the said will) who made oath thereto and together with John Denegre and George Gardner his Securities Entered into & ackd. a bond in the penalty of Fifteen hundred dollars conditioned as the Law directs, certificate is granted the said James Vick for obtaining a probat of the said will in due form.
