SOUTHAMPTON COUNTY, VA - WILLS AND ESTATES - Parks Vick, 12 Nov 1800

Will: Parks Vick, Nottoway Parish, Southampton Co, VA (1800)

IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN, I Parks Vick of the Parish of Nottoway and county of
Southampton being of sound mind and memory, praise be to the almighty for the
same, and willing to dispose of my worldly estate that it hath pleased the
almighty God to bestow on me, in manner and form following:

I lend to my loving wife all and singular my land, slaves, goods & chattles,
during her natural life or widowhood and that she out of the same, educate all
my children by giving them a good education, but if she marry, my will and
desire is that my estate be equally divided amongst my children (namely)
Richard Vick & one unborn.

And I nominate & appoint my brother Joseph Vick & Joseph Drewry to be my
Executors to this my Last Will and Testament.

IN WITNESS whereof I have hereunto set my hand & affixed my seal this twelveth
day of November one thousand eight hundred.

               At a Court held for the County of Southampton
                      the 15th day of December 1800

This Will was proved by the oath of Thomas W. Clements, one of the witnesses
thereto and continued.
And              At a Court held for the County of Southampton
                      the 18th day of May 1802

This Will was further proved by the oath of Lemuel Lewis, the other witness thereto and 
ordered to be recorded.
