SOUTHAMPTON COUNTY, VA - WILLS AND ESTATES - Burwell Williamson, 22 May 1892 --------------¤¤¤¤¤¤-------------- IN THE NAME OF GOD AMEN, I Burwell Williamson of the County of Soouthampton, being sick at present but of sound & disposing mind and memory, thanks be to God for the same, do make and constitute this writing as my last will and testament in manner & form following (to wit): Item: I leave the use profits and occupation of all my lands to my beloved wife Lucy Williamson for and during the term of her natural life. Item: I give to my daughter Wilmouth Jordan all the negroes which I have heretofore possessed her off & to her heirs also I give to my said daughter Wilmoth Jordan & to her heirs the following negroes (to wit): Panot and Robin also one hundred pounds cash. I also give to my daughter Wilmoth Jordan & to her heirs forever the land and plantation which I possess on Seacock but not to have possession of this said land till after the death of my above said wife, but in case my said daughter Wilmoth depart this life in the lifetime of my wife & leaveing no liveing issue that then in such case, my will and desire is that my loveing wife Lucy Williamson shall have power to dispose of the above said lands & other property either by will or deed to any person or persons she may think proper. Item: I give to my daughter Nancy Williamson and to her heirs forever the following negroes (to wit): Dick, Tom, Lewis, George, Britain, Cloe, & their child Lole & child Judah & Airy; one sorrel mare, bridle & saddle, one chest of drawers, two feather beds & furniture & one hundred pounds current money. I also give & desire to my said daug Nancy Williamson & to her heirs all the remainder part of my lands not heretofore mentioned to her & her heirs forever but not to possess the same till after the death of my said wife as above mentioned but in case my daughter Nancy Williamson depart this life in the lifetime of my wife and without living issue at the time of her death, that then in such case, my will and desire that my wife Lucy Williamson have full power to dispose of the aforesaid lands & when property either by will ordered to any person or persons, she may think proper. Item: All the residue of my estate wheresoever it may be found I lend to my beloved wife Lucy Williamson for & during her natural life and direct & empower her to dispose of the same in such proportion as she may think proper between my two above named daughters, either by deed or Last Will & Testament. I hereby constitute and appoint my loveing wife Lucy Williamson, my son in law Joseph Jorden, my daughter Nancy Williamson and my friend Samuel Wells, Executors of this my Last Will & Testament revoking & making void all & every other Will heretofore by me made. And on the motion of the said Executors who made oath according to law, Certificate is granted them for obtaining a Probat thereof in due form giving Security whereupon &c.
