Know ye that for diverse good Causes and Consideracons but more Especially for and in Consideracon of the Summ of ffour Pounds of good and lawful mony for our use paid to our Receiver General of our Revenues in this our Colony & Dominion of Virginia We have given granted and confirmed and by these presents for Us our heirs and Successors Do give grant & confirm unto Abraham Field of Saint George Parish in Spotsylvania County One certain Tract or parcel of Land containing Eight hundred Acres lying and being in the ffork of Rappa. River in the County aforesaid and bounded as followeth to wit Begining at a red and white oak and a Ash standing on the North side of fflat Run and in a Line of a patent of William Shrine Thence with [his] Line North seventy Degrees East One hundred poles to the Corner being a red and white Oak thence with another Line of his East One hundred Thirty Eight poles to Two white and a red Oak in Shrine Line thence south East by south Two hundred Ninety Two poles to Three white Oaks thence south Ten Degrees West one hundred Eighty ffour poles to Two white Oaks and hiccory standing by the Mountain Runside thence down the said Run and over it to Two white Oaks and hiccory standing on the south side the said Run Thence south sixty ffive Degrees West Two hundred ffifty ffour poles to two white and a red Oak Then North seventy Degrees west One hundred and sixty poles to Three white Oaks Thence North Twenty Degrees East one hundred and sixty poles to two hiccories and red Oak by the Mountain Run the several Courses to Two red Oaks standing by the Runside a little above the Mouth of Flat Run Then North Eighty poles Then North Twenty East fforty six poles to Flat Run Thence up Flatt Run the several Courses to the Begining place With all &c.
