COUNTY, VIRGINIA
 
GEORGE THE SECOND, ETC., TO ALL, ETC., WHEREAS WE HAVE Given, Granted and
Confirmed and by these presents for our heirs and Successors Do Give, Grant and Confirm unto
Anthony Gholston of Spotsylvania County an Certain Tract or Parcel of Land Containing One
Thousand Acres lying and being on the Branches of Plentiful an as followeth (to wit) -
BEGINNING at two Corner White Oaks on the South East Side of Plentiful in Wm. Cannus line
thence North fifty five West three hundred and ninety poles to a Corner White Oak of Wusicks
and Allens on the South East Side of Cloudro Path thence North twenty one East three hundred
and seventy poles to a white oak red  oak and Spanish oak on a Stoney Ridge thence South fifty
nine East four hundred a fourty four poles to and small white oak and hickory Standing near
Colo. Corbins line on a Ridge thence South thirty one West two hundred and sixty four poles to
three corner white oaks of Wm. Cannus and Colo. Corbins Standing on a Ridge Thence South
thirty five degrees West one hundred an thirty six poles to the Beginning.  WITHALL, ETC., to
have hold, etc., yielding and paying etc. as provided, etc. In Witness Whereof our trusty and well
beloved William Gooch, Esq., our Lieut. Governor and Commander in Chief of our Said Colony
and Dominion at Williamsburgh under the Seal of our Said Colony the Twenty Eighth Day of
September, One Thousand Seven Hundred and Twenty Eight in the Second Year of our Reign.

GOHALSTON OF SPOTSYLVANIA COUNTY, VIRGINIA
 
GEORGE THE SECOND, ETC., TO ALL, ETC., WHEREAS WE HAVE given granted and
confirmed and by these presents for us Our heirs and Successors do give grant and confirm unto
Anthony Gohalston Junr. and William Gohalston of Spotsylvania County afored. one certain
Tract or parcel of land containing One Thousand Acres lying and being on the branches of
Terriys Run in St. Georges parish in the County aforesaid and bounded as followeth (to wit)
BEGINNING at  a small heap of  Stones  Capt. Clowders corner on the Northwest side a  branch
between two white Oaks Thence North West two hundred Eighty poles to a white oak adjoining
on the side of a hill on the South East side a branch in Capt. Clowders line Thence South Eighty
eight East Six hundred and seventy two poles to a white oak, Red Oak and Spanish Oak on a
Stony Ridge Thence South Twenty One West Three Hundred and Seventy poles to a corner white
Oak of Musics and Allens on the South Side of Capt. Clowders path, Thence North Seventy five
West Three hundred and Seventy four poles to two corner red Oaks bushes and a white Oak bush
near Capt. Clowders line on the East side a branch and lastly North Eighty poles to the
beginning.  WITH ALL, Etc. to have hold, etc., To hold, etc., Yielding and paying as provided,
etc.  In Witness Whereof our Trusty and well beloved William Gooch, Esq., Our Lieutenant
Governor and Commander in Chief of our said Colony and Dominion at Williamsburgh under
the Seal of our said Colony the Twenty Eighth day of September One Thousand Seven Hundred
and Twenty Eight In the Second year of our Reign.
