Know all these men present that I, James Beck, of the corporation of Fredericksburg and state of Virginia have made, ordained, constituted and appointed, and by these presents doth make, ordain, contitute and appoint Samuel Gosenhow ____ of the city of Richmond and state aforesaid, my true and lawful attorney for ____ my name to ask, demand and receive of the proper officer any warrant or warrants which I may be entitled to by virtue of an act passed at the last session of the Legislature of the state aforesaid entitled an act placing Thomas Beck and Thomas Galforth on the pension list and which said and grants to me one hundred dollars _______ payable on or after the 1st day of January in each year. In witness whereof I place hereunto at my hand and seal this 11 th day of January 1812. Rec'd warrant of one hundred dollars Samuel Gosenhow 28th day of January--Beck appointed R.
