Each line of forty dashes represents a page break in the file.] ---------------------------------------- Sarah Willoughby widow of William Willoughby decd. who died on the 29th October 1815 at Spotsylvania in the State of Va. who was a Private in the Company commanded by Captain Fitzhugh of the Regt. commanded by Col. Mathews in the Va. line for 2 years & upwards. Inscribed on the Roll of Richmond at the rate of 80 Dollars 00 Cents, per annum, to commence on the 4th day of March, 1831. Certificate of Pension issued the 24 day of April 1838. ---------------------------------------- December 5, 1837. Declaration of Sarah Willoughby, age 78 years, widow of William Willoughby. ---------------------------------------- November 17, 1850. Declaration of Elizabeth Gibson, daughter of Sarah Willoughby, widow of William Willoughby, deceased, which said Sarah Willoughby departed this life on the 17th day of February 1849. ---------------------------------------- October 28, 1851. Declaration of Henry Willoughby, a Revolutionary pensioner. My brother William Willoughby deceased was a Sargeant in the Revolutionary war for more than two years. ---------------------------------------- February 10, 1838. Declaration of John Pierce. Acquainted with William Willoughby late of Spotsylvania County who married Sarah Sorrell sometime in the summer of 1779. After their marriage said Willoughby was in actual service in the army of the United States. ---------------------------------------- Bowling Green Apr. 21st 1838 Dear Sir I have been requested to forward you a Book containing the family register of William Willoughby Decd with a request that you will use your influence to get the Book back after Col. Edwards shall have satisfied himself of the fact of the Existence of such a Book. You will please forward on the certificate of Pension to me at the Bowling Green as soon as you can obtain it, directed to Yr. frd. & obt. servt. R.E. McDaniel for A. Saunders P.S. You will see two Wm Willoughbys married in the family Register, both marrying Sally Sorrells.
