Hore, Meredith Deed - 1881 - Stafford Co., VA This Deed made this 26th day of May in the year of Our Lord 1881 from E.A.W. HORE, the heirs of DR. WALTER HORE and K.E. COMBS Administrator and trustee to JACQUELIN M. MEREDITH. Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of Four Hundred dollars in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged and three bonds each for Two hundred and Sixty six dollars and sixty six & two third cents payablr severally six, twelve,and eighteen months after date with interest thereon from date at six percent per anum, and a contract to saw out, stack, and give posession of Thirty three thousand three hundred and thirty three feet of Pine inch plank, to be one third of Long leaf and two thirds of Woods Pine, stacked with strips at the saw Mill yard, in monthly installments of one third each month from the time of commencing to saw the lumber the said E.A.W. HORE, K.E. COMBS,and undersigned heirs of DR. W. HORE doth grant, bargain and sell, and by these presents convey with general warranty and full immediate possession, with all the rights, privileges, and appurtenances thereof unto the said JACQUELIN M. MEREDITH and his heirs assigns forever that certain tract or parcel of land, lying and being in the County of Stafford, and State of Virginia, known as Williamsville, bounded as follows to wit. Beginning at a large WhiteOak tree in the line of THOMAS GRIFFIS, Known as a corner in the old Casy (or Cary) line and running thence with the lines of GRIFFIS, STARKE, and ALLEN, ADIE and BELL, a straight line S57 3/4 E. to the corner of WM. W. COOPERs part of old Providence farm thence with the line of COOPER to the North corner of old Providence farm in the line of Chappawamsic farm near to the summer house, thence with the line of Chappawamsic to the telegraph Road, across the same and continuing straight in the line of POWERS to a corner with the same near the Ridge road coming out from POWERS house, thence with said Powers, S43(degrees) W and with a part of GRIFFIS line across the Chappawamsic Road to the beginning containing Two hundred and six acres more or less.
