(Pittsburgh, Pa.) 1860-1898: July 8, 1863 Died May 28th, 1863, William Wilson, aged a little over 21; he died at the house of his aunt, Widow Epsy, wither he had been brought from the camp with the hope that at home, with kind friends and careful nursing, he might recover; but all in vain; enlisted early in the year 1861, in Co. H, 62d Penn'a. Vols., of which company Capt. Thomas Espy (who fell on the 27th of June, 1862, in the commencement of the seven days' fight before Richmond) was the commanding officer. He was from childhood, fatherless and motherless, yet found a home and parents in Captain Espy and wife; belonged to Bethel congregation and Sabbath School...
