He was a member, and active in many auxiliaries, of Little Zion Baptist Church, being a deacon, trustee, affiliated with the missionary circle, and a former Sunday school teacher. His funeral was held Sunday, Dec. 24, at the church at 1:30 p.m. with the pastor, the Rev. E. W. Davidson, officiating. Condolences from the church were read by W. H. Perry, deacon-clerk, and from the Sunday school, missionary circle and other sympathizers by Mrs. Laura R. Copeland, and Rev. Mr. Davidson. Surviving the deceased are his wife, Mrs. Mary Brinkley; four daughters; four sons; five grandchildren. Interment was in Little Zion Cemetery with Corprew Funeral Home in charge. Many floral pieces were given by auxiliaries of the church.
