Mrs. Elizabeth M. Boyce 

  Mrs. Elizabeth Modlin Boyce, 72, of 310 Brook Ave., died 4:30 p.m. Saturday 
in Louise Obici Memorial Hospital.  She was the widow of Lee Clifton Boyce and 
a daughter of the late Henry and Mrs. Annie Modlin. 

  She was a member of the First Baptist Church.  She is survived by one 
daughter, Mrs. Douglas M. White, of Chesapeake, one step-daughter, Mrs. 
Blanche B. Smith of Suffolk; and one step-son, Cary F. Boyce of Ashboro, N.C.; 
one sister, Mrs. Geneva M. Jones of Suffolk; and two half-sisters, Mrs. Martha 
M. Shackleford of Suffolk, and Mrs. Thelma M. Smith of Norfolk; and two step-
grandchildren. 

  A funeral service will be held Monday at 4 p.m. in the I.O. Hill & Co. 
Funeral Home conducted by the Rev. John T. Evans.  Burial will be in the 
Cypress Chapel Christian Church Cemetery.  The family will be at the home of 
Mrs. Blanche B. Smith, 314 Brook Ave.
