MARGARET LASSITER BUTLER 

  WINDSOR - A funeral service for Mrs. Margaret Lassiter Butler, 53, of 
Windsor, was held Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. in R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home 
by the Rev. Harry B. Christie Jr.

  Burial was in Holly Lawn Cemetery.

  Mrs. Butler died Sunday afternoon in Louise Obici Memorial Hospital, 
Nansemond.

  A native of Northampton County, N.C., she was the wife of Walter H. 
Butler and a daughter of the late Oscar Sinclair [sic; St.Clair*] and 
Mrs. Bertha Flythe Lassiter.

  She was a member of Bethany Presbyterian Church at Zuni, the Loyal 
Nicholson Bible Class, Groton (Mass.) Eastern Star Chapter, Louise Obici 
Alumnae Association, and Area 17 of Virginia Licensed Practical Nurses 
Association.

  Besides her husband, surviving are a son, Jerry Wayne Butler of the 
home; five sisters, Mrs. Elsie Ingram of Gaston, N.C., Mrs. Otis Davis of 
Asheboro, N.C., Mrs. Kathleen Rogers of Williamsburg, Mrs. Hazel Staton 
of Suffolk, and Mrs. Essie Garris of Conway, N.C.; a brother, Grady 
Lassiter of Conway.
