Mrs. Georgie H. Batten 

  Mrs. Georgie Holland Batten, 76, of R.F.D. 2, Windsor, died Friday in Autumn 
Care Center. 

  A native of Isle of Wight County, she was the widow of Willie Sherman Batten 
and a daughter of the late Mills Thomas and Mrs. Anna Belle Carr Holland. 

  She was a member of the Antioch Christian Church. 

  She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Ina B. Holland of Suffolk and Mrs. 
Dorothy B. Whitley of Windsor; two sisters, Mrs. Eunice Hedgepeth of Suffolk 
and Mrs. Blanche Braswell of Windsor; two grandchildren and one great-
grandchild. 

  A funeral service will be held Monday at 2 p.m in the I.O. Hill and Co. 
Funeral Home conducted by the Rev. R. Lindsey Poteat and burial will be in 
Holly Lawn Cemetery. 

  The family will be at the funeral home Sunday from 7-9 p.m.

   Windsor - A funeral services for Mrs. Georgie Holland Batten, 76, was held 
Monday at 2 p.m. in I.O. Hill & Co. Funeral Home by the Rev. R. Lindsey 
Poteat.  Burial was in Holly Lawn Cemetery.

   She died Friday in Autumn Care Center.

   A native of Isle of Wight County, she was the widow of Willie Sherman 
Batten.

   She was a member of Antioch Christian Church.

   Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Ina B. Holland of Suffolk and Mrs. 
Dorothy B. Whitley of Windsor; two sisters, Mrs. Eunice Hedgepeth of Suffolk 
and Mrs. Blanche Braswell of Windsor; two grandchildren; and a great-
grandchild.
