GEORGIE HOLLAND BATTEN

   Windsor - A funeral services for Mrs. Georgie Holland Batten, 76, was held 
Monday at 2 p.m. in I.O. Hill & Co. Funeral Home by the Rev. R. Lindsey 
Poteat.  Burial was in Holly Lawn Cemetery.

   She died Friday in Autumn Care Center.

   A native of Isle of Wight County, she was the widow of Willie Sherman 
Batten.

   She was a member of Antioch Christian Church.

   Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Ina B. Holland of Suffolk and Mrs. 
Dorothy B. Whitley of Windsor; two sisters, Mrs. Eunice Hedgepeth of Suffolk 
and Mrs. Blanche Braswell of Windsor; two grandchildren; and a great-
grandchild.
