Baker & Co. Funeral Home by Dr. Robert D. Marr and the Rev. E.M. Allcox. Burial was in Holly Lawn Cemetery. He died Sunday night in Louise Obici Memorial Hospital. He was a native of Isle of Wight County and the husband of Mrs. Virginia Boyette Bailey. He was a member of Mt. Carmel Christian Church and a Navy veteran of World War I. He was retired in 1960 as Suffolk manager of Southwestern Life Insurance Co. and was an insurance man for 35 years. He was a former life underwriter and member of American Legion Post 57. Other survivors include a nephew, C.M. Beale of Smithfield; and three nieces, Mrs. Sara Williams of Suffolk, Mrs. Lee Barnes of Virginia Beach and Mrs. Lee Dressler of Chambersburg, Pa.
