SHIRLEY BLYTHE

   SUFFOLK - Funeral services for Shirley Blythe, 76, were held Saturday in 
Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Home by Dr. Wayne W. Poplin.  Burial was in Holly 
Lawn cemetery.

   Blythe died Thursday in Louise Obici Memorial Hospital.

   A native of Nansemond County, he was the husband of Mrs. Willie Mae Worrell 
Blythe.  He was a retired superintendent with the Virginia Department of 
Highways.

   He also is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Joyce B. Akers, a son, Jack W. 
Blythe, and four sisters, Mrs. Otelia Felton, Mrs. Carrie Saunders, Mrs. Essie 
Holland, and Mrs. Burres, all of Suffolk; two brothers, William Blythe of 
Franklin and Gilmer Blythe of Suffolk; and two grandchildren.
