Bristow, 89, died at his home, 223 North St., Sunday night. A native of Coleraine, N.C., he was the son of the late Rev. Semion [sic*; Simeon] F. Bristow and Indiana Boone Bristow. He was a charter member of West End Baptist Church, and a member of its Men's Sunday School Class. Survivors include his wife, Mary Madison Bristow; one daughter, Peggy Farnsworth; one granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be Wednesday at 3 p.m. in Cedar Hill Cemetery by Dr. Donald Dunlap. Arrangements by Hill Underwood Funeral Home.
