Mr. Bradshaw, an Isle of Wight County native, retired from Norfolk Naval Shipyard. He was a member of Biltmore Baptist Church and Portsmouth Moose Lodge 898. Survivors include his wife, Allie Cox* Bradshaw; four daughters, Helen Wimbish, Ann Teller and Frankie Posey, all of Chesapeake, and Dot Wells of Portsmouth; two stepdaughters, Dorothy Cook of Elyria, Ohio, and Nancy Warren of Suffolk; three stepsons, Robert Cox of Greenville, Ky., Walter R. Cox of Belvidere, N.C., and Allen Cox of Newport News; three brothers, Letcher Bradshaw of Chester, Lonnie Bradshaw of Colonial Heights, and Lloyd Bradshaw of Norfolk; 15 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. The funeral was conducted Monday in Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Home by the Rev. T.M. Frye. Burial was in Holly Lawn Cemetery, Suffolk. They were daughters of John Earnest CONES (1881-1966) and wife Emaline Elizabeth "Lizzie" {JOYNER} (1887-1967), also buried in Holly Lawn (Block G, Sec. 10). James' widow Allie CONES COX BRADSHAW d. 25 Sep 1998. Her obituary ("Virginian-Pilot," Sep. 27, 1998, B9) names 3 step-daughters- Dorothy B., Annie B. & Frances B. His parents, "Eddie" Edward Thomas & "Dolly" Lillie Helen (CARR) BRADSHAW, are buried in Mt. Carmel Christian Church Cemetery, Walters. Mt.
