Snowa. Burial was in Holly Lawn Cemetery with Wright and Purviance Funeral Homes in charge. Mrs. Brittle died Tuesday in a hospital. A native of Gates County, she was the wife of the Rev. Dr. Ritchie E. Brittle. She was a member of Hunterdale United Church of Christ and its choir and was active in local and conference church affairs. A graduate of Longwood College, she was a former public school teacher. Other survivors include two daughters, Martha B. Wilkins of Augusta, Ga., and Mary Cross Floyd of St. Charles, Mo.; a son, R. Edwin Brittle Jr. of Franklin; two sisters, Mrs. John E. Edwards of Whaleyville and Mrs. William L. Vann of Norfolk; a brother, J. Gordon Riddick of Raleigh, N.C.; and seven grandchildren.
