Russo Brewer, 78, died Dec. 9, 1993. A native of Suffolk, she was the widow of Anthony J. Russo Sr. and George T. Brewer, and daughter of the late Jobie G. Holland and Vera West Holland. In 1983, Mrs. Brewer had retired from Planters Peanuts after more than 40 years as a receptionist. She was a member of St. Mary's of the Presentation Catholic Church where she participated in many church activities. Survivors include a son, Anthony J. Russo Jr. of Santa Monica, Calif.; a stepdaughter, Georgianna B. Runnels, a stepson, Thomas Brewer, and a brother, Emmett E. Holland, all of Suffolk; four step-grandchildren; and two step-great- grandchildren. A Mass of the Resurrection will celebrated Monday at 10 a.m. by the Rev. Father Thomas B. Nee in St. Mary's of the Presentation Catholic Church. Burial will be in Holly Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive visitors following a Christian wake service, which takes place Sunday at 5 p.m. in R.W. Baker and Co. Funeral Home.
