Cuthbert, 86, of the 200 block of W. Constance Road, died Nov. 5, 1987, in a hospital. Mrs. Cuthbert, a native of Laurinburg, N.C., was the widow of John L. Cuthbert. She was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. She wrote the short story "Flowers Arrangements" in the 1950s. Survivors include a grandson, John C. Stovall of Alexandria. The graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday in Holly Lawn Cemetery by the Rev. James Newsom. Hill Underwood Funeral Home is handling arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to the memorial fund of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, or to the Nansemond-Suffolk Rescue Squad. Mary Prince (BIZZELLE; Mrs. John L.)
