MILTON DeROHAN CHALKLEY SR.

   Milton DeRohan Chalkley Sr., 88, of 706 Gittings St., died Dec. 9, 1988, in 
his home. A native of Arkadelphia, Ark., he was the son of the late Edward Gray 
Chalkley and Elizabeth Grace Chalkley.

   He had retired from the wholesale sporting goods business. He was a member of 
St. Mary’s of The Presentation Catholic Church , and the Knights of Columbus.

   Chalkley did his undergraduate work at the University of Virginia. He 
attended law school there, and was a graduate of Little Rock College in Little 
Rock, Ark.

   Survivors include his wife, Nina Oliver Chalkley; a son, Dr. Milton D. 
Chalkley Jr. of Suffolk; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

   Graveside services will be conducted Monday at 11 a.m. in Cedar Hill Cemetery 
by the Rev. Father Thomas Nee.

   The family will received friends at the residence. R. W. Baker and Co. 
Funeral Home is in charge.
