Carr, 71, died May 19 at Louise Obici Memorial Hospital. He was retired from the City of Norfolk/Lake Prince Fishing Station, and was a native of Suffolk. He was a member of Porvicence United Methodist Church and the Zuni Hunt Club. He was the son of the late Jack Leonard Carr and Hettie Boyce Carr. Survivors include a devoted cousin, Frances Davila of Suffolk; his beloved dog, Hannah; several nieces, nephews and aunts. A graveside funeral service was held May 22 by the Rev. Malcolm L. Yaple. Interment followed in Holly Lawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Nansemond-Suffolk Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 1515, Suffolk, Va. 23439. Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Home handled arrangements. Calvin L.
