CARR Sarah Antoinette Hill Carr, 81, of the 6600 block of Holland Road, died Oct. 27, 2000, in Southampton Memorial Hospital. A native of Como, N.C., Mrs. Carr retired as a postal clerk for the U.S. Postal Service. She was a member of Holland Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday School teacher, a choir member, and church historian. She was also a charter member of Holland Ladies Ruritan Club. She was the daughter of the late Aurelious Oscar Hill and Lucy Bland Hill. She was also predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Otis Linwood Carr; brother, Phillip Bland Hill; and two sisters, Rachel Hill Bush and Audrey Hill Edwards. She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Linwood Craig and Marjorie Bagby Carr of Covington, Va., and James Keith and Sue Carol Fisher Carr of Martinville, Va.; grandchildren, Jesse Craig Carr, Mariah Louise Carr, Erin Elizabeth Carr, and Matthew Woodward Carr. A funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Home by the Rev. Ed Sunday-Winters. Interment will be in Holland Cemetery. Friends may join the family from 4 to 5 p.m. today at the funeral home and other times at the residence.
