Luther Carroll Cross 

  Luther Carroll Cross, 62, of 210 Central Ave., died 3:40 a.m. today in 
Louise Obici Memorial Hospital. 

  A native of Nansemond County, he was the husband of Mrs. Hazel Vick Cross. 
He was a son of the late Luther Thomas [sic; Thomas Luther] and Mrs. Ruth 
Copeland Cross. 

  Besides his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Eric P. Brooks of 
Suffolk; and two grandchildren. 

  Graveside services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in Holly Lawn Cemetery 
by the Rev. O.R. Hardy.  The funeral procession will leave the I.O. Hill and 
Co. Funeral Home 1:45 p.m. Saturday.
