Rev. Luther Britt Crowley 

  CARROLLTON - The Rev. Luther Britt Crowley Sr., 81, died Wednesday, Oct. 3 
in his home. 

  Rev. Crowley was a native of Isle of Wight County.  He was the assistant 
minister of Carrollton Holiness Church and was also the founder of the church. 
He was the son of the late Mills [sic; Martin*] Thomas and Mary Eva Fulgham 
Crowley. 

  Survivors include his wife, Cynthia Eley Crowley; two daughters, Esther C. 
Epps of Hopewell, and Angeline C. Hardy of Lunenberg County; three sons, 
Charles D. Crowley and James W. Crowley of Chester, and L. Britt Crowley of 
Carrollton: two sisters, Mary C. Cutchin and Leila C. Wilson, both of 
Smithfield; 17 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and one great great 
grandchild. 

  Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 6 at 2 p.m. in Colonial Funeral 
Home Chapel, officiated by the Rev. B.R Collins and the Rev. Donald Watkins. 
Burial was in Wesley Chapel Cemetery, Chuckatuck. 

  Memorial donations may be made to the Carrollton Holiness Church, c/o 
Carolyn Jordan, 396 Pagan Road, Smithfield, Va. 23430. 

  Pallbearers were Tillson Crittenden, Boyd H. Curry, D. Allen Jeffers, James 
B. Klinefelter, Adolphus M. Redd, Frank Strong, 

  Honorary pallbearers were Luther Rogers and Norville J. Woodfin. 

  Colonial Funeral Home handled arrangements.
