MATTHEW BRIAN CRALLE 

  SUFFOLK - Matthew Brian Cralle, 17, of the 600 block of Turlington Road, 
died Dec. 10, 2000.

  A native of Suffolk, Matt was a junior at Lakeland High School and attended 
P.D. Pruden Vocational Technical Welding School.  He was a part-time employee 
for Subway.  He played baseball for Cypress Athletic Club.  He was a member 
of Southside Baptist Church.

  Survivors include his father, Howard B. Cralle III of Franklin; his mother 
and stepfather, Sonya Culbertson and David Gardner of Suffolk; sister, 
Jennifer Marie Cralle; stepsister, Emma Ruth Gardner, paternal grandparents 
Howard B. Cralle Jr., and Katherine Marie Cralle; maternal grandparents, 
Larry E. and Barbara Culbertson; uncle, Larry and Cathy Culbertson and 
children Katlyn and Joseph; aunt Judy and Ronnie Turner and son, Ronald; and 
beloved girlfriend, Morgan Yeager, all of Suffolk.

  A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Southside Baptist Church 
by the Rev. R. Stewart McCarter and the Rev. John Rissmiller.  Interment will 
be in Holly Lawn Cemetery.  Friends may join the family from 7 to 8 p.m. today 
at Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Home and other times at the residence, 680 
Turlington Road.  Memorial donations may be made to the Nansemond Suffolk 
Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 1515, Suffolk, VA 23439 or to Children’s Hospital of 
The King’s Daughters.
