Craun Mrs. Rosa Bell Lowman Craun, 83, of 5901 Wayne Ave., the widow of William Arthur Craun and a native of Batesburg, S.C., died Monday morning in a Norfolk hospital. She was a Lutheran. Survivors include two sons, Alvin E. Craun of Suffolk and Dwight M. Craun of High Point, N.C.; two sisters, Mrs. Fannie Henry of Columbia, S.C., and Mrs. Louise Morgan of Richfield, N.C.; six grandchildren; and six great- grandchildren. A funeral will be held Friday at 11 a.m. in Snellings Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Henry J. Hund. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Salem Lutheran Church Cemetery, Mount Sidney. D.Cert. 78-000595 Her husband (1880 - 1931) was a minister. D.Cert. 28965 (Portsmouth #663) gives son of C.E.G. & Etta S. EARLY; the informant was Rosabelle. Rather, he was the son of Charles Edward Granville & Sarah Etta (EARLY) CRAUN, also buried in Salem Lutheran Church Cemetery. Granville's father Samuel CRAUN was a Confederate veteran, having served as a corporal in Co. H, 12th VA Cavalry. Rosabelle's parents, Daniel Monroe & Nancy Margaret (THRAILKILL) LOWMAN, are buried in Elmwood Memorial Gardens, Columbia, Richland Co., SC.
