A native of Exchange, W.Va., he was the son of the late Otha Dennison and Mrs. Lulu [sic*] Carter Dennison. He had been a yard conductor for Norfolk & Southern Railroad for the past 35 years. He was also an Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Lorraine Canody Dennison; two sons, William Edward Dennison and Joseph W. Dennison of Suffolk; four sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Wilson of Burnsville, W.Va., Mrs. Lelia Cobb and Mrs. Velma Shaver of Charleston, W.Va., and Mrs. Gelelah Scheffer of Clarksburg, W.Va.; and one brother, Raymond Dennison of Exchange. The funeral will be conducted Thursday at 10 a.m. in Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Home by the Rev. Dolan Talbert. Burial will be in Holly Lawn Cemetery. He had been a yard conductor for Norfolk and Southern Railroad for 35 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member of the United Transportation Workers of America. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Lorraine Canody Dennison, two sons, William E. Dennison and Joseph W. Dennison, both of Suffolk; four sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Wilson of Burnsville, W.Va., Mrs. Lelia Cobb and Mrs. Velma Shaver, both of Charleston, W.Va., and Mrs. Gelelah Scheffer of Clarksburg, W.Va.
