She was a native of Suffolk and the daughter of the late John Morgan and Viola Whitley Darden. She was a member of Suffolk Christian Church. Survivors include three sisters, Mrs. C. Lynch Christian of Lynchburg, Mrs. Ford Whelden of Norwich, Vt., and Mrs. J.W. Musick of Virginia Beach; a brother, Claibourne H. Darden of Greensboro; and nieces and nephews. A funeral will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home by Dr. Robert B. Marr. Entombment will be in the family mausoleum in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Nansemond-Suffolk Rescue Squad.
