Edwards, 68, of the 5500 block of E. Virginia Beach Blvd., died Nov. 28, 1987, in Norfolk. Mr. Edwards, a native of Franklin, retired from Norfolk & Western Railroad Co.’s special agent department. He was a member of Woodland Heights Baptist Church and the Tidewater Police Association. Survivors include his wife, Mary Anne Benton Edwards; a son, Linwood L. Edwards of Virginia Beach; three sisters, Maggie Hill of Norfolk, and Gracie Pierce and Ruth Costen, both of Chesapeake; and two brothers, Frank Edwards of Virginia Beach and William Edwards of Portsmouth. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Indian River Chapel, by the Rev. Paul D. Moore. Burial will be in Holly Lawn Cemetery, Suffolk. The family will be at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today.
