Harrell Funeral Home by the Rev. Paul J. Rowe. Burial was in Holly Lawn Cemetery. Mrs. English died Friday in Louise Obici Memorial Hospital. A native of Nansemond County, she was the wife of William H. English. She was a member of Magnolia United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women and was a retired department manager for Montgomery Ward Co. Survivors include a daughter, Peggy O. Whitehead of Windsor; a son, Davis P. O誰eal of Suffolk; a stepdaughter, Carolyn Darden of Carrsville, a stepson, William E. English, and a brother Oscar W. Gardner, both of Suffolk; three stepbrothers, R.E. Baker of Suffolk, Holmes Baker of Corapeake, N.C., and Robert Baker of Norfolk; a stepsister, Bernice Jones of Drum Hill, N.C.; and 10 grandchildren.
