IDA HOLLAND GARNER

   Suffolk - Funeral services for Ida Holland Garner, 87, were held Friday in 
Oakland Christian Church by the Rev. William A. Grossman.  Burial will be in 
Holly Lawn cemetery.

   Garner died Wednesday afternoon in Louise Obici Memorial Hospital.

   She was a native of Nansemond County and the widow of Benjamin Ocie Garner. 
She was a member of Oakland Christian Church and its Newman Bible Class and 
Circle One.

   Survivors include two daughters, Lucy Virginia White of Chesapeake, and 
Myrtle Lee Jenkins of Colonial Heights; four sons, Robert E. Garner, Russell 
L. Garner, Irvin A. Garner, and Franklin R. Garner of Suffolk; a sister, 
Estelle Holland Hedgepeth of Windsor; 16 grandchildren; and 8 great-
grandchildren.
