SARAH KATHERINE CROCKER HOBBS

   Suffolk - Mrs. Sarah Katherine Crocker Hobbs, 54, of 603 N. Broad St., died 
Monday in her home.

   Born in Suffolk, she attended Longwood College and was a graduate of Pan 
American School in Richmond and Suffolk High School.

   She worked as secretary at the former John Randolph Elementary School for 
about 10 years and at Suffolk High School from 1979 to 1984.

   She was a member of Oxford United Methodist Church.

   Survivors include her husband, Gelon Sylvester Hobbs Jr.; two daughters, Mrs. 
Katherine Hobbs Arnaudin of New Orleans, La., and Mrs. Elizabeth Hobbs Prince of 
Harrisonburg; a son, Gelon Sylvester Hobbs III of Suffolk; a sister, Mrs. Martha 
Crocker Spivey of Lynchburg; and one grandchild.

   A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. today in Oxford United Methodist 
Church by the Rev. Harold Fuss.

   Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

   The family will be at the residence.

   The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to 
the memorial fund of Oxford United Methodist Church.

   R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home is in charge.
