Howell Archie Franklin Howell, 65, of 2756 Lake Cohoon Road died Monday in Norfolk General Hospital. He was a native of Suffolk, the husband of the late Mrs. Ann Blanchard Joyner Howell and a son of the late George Henry and Ruth Turner Howell. He was a watchmaker for 42 years with Brewer Jewelry Co. He was a member of Suffolk Christian Church, Post P of Travelers Protective Association, Suffolk Elks Lodge 685, and Tidewater Horological and Jewelers Association. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Martha Joyner Callis and Mrs. Nancy Joyner Parker of Suffolk; a sister, Mrs. Nancy Howell Johnson of Venice, Fla.; seven grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. in R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home by Dr. R.E. Brittle. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. The family will be at the home of Mrs. Parker, 2724 Lake Cohoon Rd.
