Harrell Funeral Home by the Rev. William M. Everhart. Burial was in Holly Lawn cemetery. Howell died Monday morning in Louise Obici Memorial Hospital. A native of Isle of Wight County, she was the widow of Parker Daughtrey Howell Sr. She was a member of Oakland Christian Church and its I.W. Johnson Bible class, the women’s fellowship and Wednesday morning prayer group. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Evelyn H. Howell of Portsmouth; four sons, P.D. Howell Jr. of Chuckatuck, Dr. M.J. Howell of Portsmouth, Dr. Virgil Howell of Virginia Beach, and Dr. Leroy Howell of Suffolk; two sisters, Mrs. Doris Zimmerman of Franklin and Mrs. Mildred C. Vaughan of Chuckatuck; a brother, George L. Carr of Carrsville; and 12 grandchildren. Mattie James (CARR; Mrs. Parker D.
