CLARENCE WARDELL HOLLAND

   SUFFOLK - Clarence Wardell Holland, 77, of the 300 block of Kingsdale Road, 
a retired service station operator, died Sept. 6, in a hospital.

   Mr. Holland, a native of Nansemond County, retired from S.W. Rawls, Inc. 
He was a member of Holland Baptist Church.

   Survivors include his wife, Hattie Bradshaw Holland; three daughters, 
Mildred O’Haire of Norfolk, Eunice Britt of Wenoah, N.J., and Barbara Copeland 
of Suffolk; a son, Russell Lowe of Gretna; a sister, Mary Edith Smith of 
Richmond; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

   The funeral was conducted Tuesday in Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Home by the 
Rev. Leon Scott.  Burial was in Holly Lawn Cemetery.

   Memorial donations may be made to the Nansemond-Suffolk Rescue Squad.
