Ella Hampton 

  Mrs. Ella Mae Judkins Hampton, 90, of 5405 Pruden Blvd. died at 6:15 a.m. 
today in Louise Obici Memorial Hospital.  A native of Suffolk, she was the 
widow of John Roland Hampton, and the daughter of the late Henry E. [sic; L. 
Henry] and Mrs. Florence Judkins.  Along with her husband, she owned and 
operated Hampton Grocery Store for many years.  She was a member of Southside 
Baptist Church. 

  She is survived by one son, Roland E. Hampton, and one sister, Mrs. Bertha 
Pope, both of Suffolk: one granddaughter and four great-grandchildren. 

  A funeral service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in the Hill Underwood 
Funeral Home conducted by the Rev. O.R. Hardy.  Burial will be in Cedar Hill 
Cemetery.

Ella Hampton 

  A funeral service for Mrs. Ella Mae Judkins Hampton, who died Friday, will 
be conducted Monday at 11 a.m. in the Hill Underwood Funeral Home by the Rev. 
O R. Hardy.  Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery. 

  The family will be at the home of Raymond E. Hampton, 1236 Willowbrook 
Drive.

Ella 1m. William Gilliam EDWARDS, Jr., 17 Jan 1918.  (Suffolk #10) 
   Gilliam served as an Army sergeant in WW-I; he d. of disease. 
   He has been added to the EDWARDS family cemetery, Unity & One Mile Rds., 
   where his father is buried.
