All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/va/vafiles.htm ************************************************ ELIZABETH "BETH" OLIVER HURDLE SUFFOLK - Elizabeth "Beth" Oliver Hurdle, 36, of the 800 block of General Pickett Drive, passed away Sept. 1, 2000. A native of Suffolk, she was employed with Chesapeake Hardwood Products Inc. as a customer service representative. She was a lifetime member of Suffolk Christian Church and the Young Crusader Class. She was a member of the Chancel Choir, Handbells and the Women’s Fellowship. She was the daughter of the late James Whitney Oliver Sr. and Helen Smith Oliver. She lived her life to the fullest, though short, and was a loving and caring mother, wife, daughter, and sister. She was an avid player of sports and an animal lover. She is survived by her husband, Barry P. Hurdle; a son, Ryan Paul Hurdle, both of Suffolk; brother and sister-in-law, James Whitney "Whit" Oliver, Jr. and Brenda C. Oliver; a nephew, Jacob W. Oliver of Suffolk; aunts. Virginia S. Harrell of Suffolk and Juanita S. Lilley of Chesapeake; an uncle, C. Aubrey Smith of Suffolk; father and mother-in-law, Royce and Catherine Hurdle; and brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Pam Hurdle, all of Suffolk. A funeral will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Suffolk Christian Church by the Rev. Michael D. Halley. Interment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Friends may join the family today from 7 to 8 p.m. at Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Home and other times at the residence. Memorial donations may be made to the Suffolk Christian Church Organ Fund, P.O.
