Mrs. Myrtle B. Horton 

  Mrs. Myrtle Brinkley Horton, 72, of 6420 Whaleyville Boulevard died Monday 
in Norfolk Medical Center. 

  She was a native of Gates County, N.C., and the wife of Tommie T. Horton and 
the daughter of the late Junius L. and Mrs. Nannie Jones Brinkley. 

  She was a member of Great Fork Baptist Church and Whaleyville Chapter No. 
137 of the Order of the Eastern Star. 

  Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Sylvia H. Davenport of Suffolk; a 
son, Talbort L. Horton of Suffolk: a sister, Mrs. Thelma B. Griffin of 
Suffolk; a brother, Linwood C. Brinkley of Portsmouth; and three 
grandchildren. 

  A funeral service will be held Thursday at 2:30 p.m. in Sidney F. Harrell 
Funeral Home by the Rev. Clarke A. Wiseman and Dr. R.E. Brittle. 

  Burial will be in Great Fork Church Cemetery. 

  The family will be at the funeral home for visitation Wednesday from 7 to 9 
p.m.

Mrs. Horton 

  SUFFOLK - Mrs. Myrtle Brinkley Horton, 72, 6420 Whaleyville Blvd., died 
Monday in Norfolk Medic Center. 

  A native of Gates County, N.C., she was a member of Great Fork Baptist 
Church and Whaleyville Chapter 137, Order of Eastern Star. 

  Survivors include her husband, Tommie Talbort Horton; a daughter, Mrs. 
Sylvia H. Davenport, a son, Talbort L. Horton, a sister, Mrs. Thelma D. 
Griffin, all of Suffolk; a brother, Linwood C. Brinkley of Portsmouth, and 
three grandchildren. 

  A funeral service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Sidney F. 
Harrell Funeral Home by the Rev. Clarke A. Wiseman, the Rev. R.E. Brittle 
and the Rev. William C. Tatum. 

  Burial will be in Great Fork Baptist Church Cemetery. 

  The family will receive friends in the funeral home from 7 to 9 tonight.

Myrtle Brinkley Horton 

  A funeral service for Mrs. Myrtle Brinkley Horton, who died Monday, was held 
Thursday at 2:30 p.m. in the Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Home by the Rev. Clark 
A. Wiseman, Dr. R.E. Brittle, and the Rev. William C. Tatum.  Burial was in 
Great Fork Baptist Church Cemetery. 

  Pallbearers were Raymond Brinkley, Mack Brinkley, Edward Davenport, Harry 
Winborne, Sammy Jordan, Willie H. Rountree, Wallace J. Winslow III and Bobby 
Ralph.
