EMELINE HOLLAND HARRELL

   Emeline Holland Harrell, 59, of 5125 Quaker Dr., died Sept. 5, 1988, in her 
home.  She was a native of Nansemond County.

   She was a member, elder and librarian at Somerton Friends Meeting.  She was 
also a member of United Society of Friends Women and was past clerk of 
Ministries and Council.

   Survivors include her husband, B. Clinton Harrell Sr.; two daughters, Janet 
H. Davidson and Reba F. Harrell; a son, B. Clinton Harrell, Jr., all of 
Suffolk; four sisters, Virginia Dare Jernigan and Pat H. Blanchard, both of 
Suffolk, Mary Lester of Norfolk and Dana Lyttle of Milton, Fla.; five 
brothers, David Hurley Holland, Robert Earl Holland, John A. Holland, Gilbert 
C. Holland and James P. Holland Sr., all of Suffolk; and two grandchildren.

   The funeral will be conducted Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Sidney F. Harrell 
Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Cafer Marley and Hershel Hill.  Burial will be 
in Somerton Friends Meeting Cemetery.

   The family will receive friends today from 7 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home 
and at the residence at other times.

   Memorial donations may be made to the Nansemond-Suffolk Rescue Squad or to 
Holland Volunteer Fire Department.
