ORMA PILAND HARRELL

   FRANKLIN -  A funeral service for Mrs. Orma Harrell, 83, was held Saturday 
at 2 p.m. in R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home, Suffolk, by the Rev. Richard 
Dickmann.  Burial was in Holly Lawn Cemetery, Suffolk.

   Mrs. Harrell died Thursday afternoon in Southampton Memorial Hospital.

   A native of Gates County, N.C., and was the widow of Wilbur Harrell.  She 
was a Seventh Day Adventist.

   Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Melba H. Nowell of Franklin, and 
Mrs. Addie Belle Raley of Philadelphia, Tenn.; two sons, Clifton Harrell of 
Richmond and Joseph Harrell of Suffolk; a sister, Mrs. Florence Howard of 
Wilson, N.C.; a brother, Charlie Piland of Tarboro, N.C.; 20 grandchildren; 
41 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
