Richard Harrell 

  Robert Richard Harrell, 69, of 3095 S. Broad St., died Tuesday in Louise 
Obici Memorial Hospital. 

  A native of Nansemond County, he was the husband of Anne H. Harrell. 

  He was a member of Holland Baptist Church. 

  Other survivors include two sons, John N. Harrell and Richard D. Harrell, 
both of Portsmouth; two stepdaughters, Mary Ann Green of Gates, N.C., and 
Nancy Carter of Suffolk; a stepson, Marvin R. Simpson of Atlanta; four 
sisters, Olif H. Gay, Tomsie H. Lewis, Savanah H. Lewis and Dorothy H. 
Harrell, all of Suffolk; a brother, Roosevelt Harrell of Suffolk; a grandson; 
and seven stepgrandchildren. 

  The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Hill Underwood Funeral 
Home by Dr. R.E. Brittle and the Rev. John L. Nicholas.  Burial will be in 
Cedar Hill Cemetery. 

  The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7 to 8:30 p.m. 
today.
