MARY EDITH RAWLES JONES

   SUFFOLK - Mary Edith Rawles Jones, 97, of the 6700 block of South Quay 
Road, died Nov. 21, in her home.

   Mrs. Jones, a native of Nansemond County, was the widow of James Thomas 
Jones.  She was the oldest member of Holland Christian Church and a charter 
member of Holland Women’s Club.

   Survivors include a daughter, Edith J. Bayle of Waterford; two sons, Thomas 
R. Jones and James R. Jones, both of Suffolk; two brothers, Henry A. Rawles 
and Ernest L. Rawles, both of Suffolk; 10 grandchildren; and five great-
greatchildren.

   The funeral was conducted Monday in Holland Christian church by the Rev. 
David M. Seymour.  Burial was in Holland Cemetery.

   Memorial donations may be made to the memorial fund of Holland Christian 
Church.
