Virginia Johnson 

  ZUNI - Virginia Ashby Johnson, 67, of Rt. 644, died Dec. 4, 1989, in Obici 
Hospital.  A native of Clark [sic; Clarke] County, Va., she was the widow of 
Abner I. Johnson. 

  She had retired from Bunny's Restaurant.  She was a Presbyterian.  She was 
a member of the American Association of Retired Persons. 

  Survivors include a daughter, Linda A. Powell of Zuni; two sons, J. Calvin 
Ashby of Madison, N.C. and Cecil A. Ashby of Suffolk; and eight grandchildren. 

  The funeral will be conducted Thursday at 11 a.m. in R.W. Baker and Co. 
Funeral Home by the Rev. Stephen N. Weed.  Burial will be in Holly Lawn 
Cemetery.  The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m.

Her parents, Albin Alexander & Etta Katherine (DOVE) DOVE, are buried in 
   Old Bethel Cemetery, Clarke Co. 

Her first husband Irvin Jackson ASHBY (1919 - 1951) is buried in 
   Providence Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery, Frogtown, Clarke Co. 

Her second husband (1907 - 1967) is buried in Edge Hill Cemetery, 
   Charlestown, WV.
