Mr. Keeling was a native of Isle of Wight. He was a member of Windsor Congregational Christian Church, past Superintendent of Sunday School, and served on the Board of Deacons. He was an Army veteran of World War II and a member and past president of the Windsor Ruritan Club and the Virginia Seedsmen's Association. He served on the Windsor Town Council for 14 years. Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Copeland Keeling; and two sons, Richard Dow Keeling of St. Croix, Virgin Islands, and Thomas Walke Keeling of Windsor. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct 9 in Windsor Congregational Christian Church, officiated by the Rev. Eddie A. Walker and the Rev. R. Eugene Larkin. Burial will be in Mount Zion Cemetery, Crittenden. Memorial donations may be made to the Windsor Rescue Squad. R.W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home, Suffolk, handled arrangements. D.Cert. 90-037088 His in-laws, Richard Henry & Zelma (JOYNER) COPELAND, are buried in Newman Memorial Cemetery, Oakland Christian Church, Chuckatuck. Their m.rec. (Nan.Co. 1921 #226) gives Zelmer BAIRD, daughter of C.J. & Dora BAIRD. Zelma's parents were Charles Thomas & Anna James (NEWMAN) JOYNER.
