Lassiter Mrs. Eva Roundtree [sic; Rountree] Lassiter, 73, a Nansemond County native, died Friday. She was a resident of 3350 Elm Ave., Portsmouth. She was the wife of Burton Lassiter. She was a member of Reynoldson Baptist Church, Gates County, N.C. Other survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth L. Wolff and Mrs. B.J. Aston, Sr. of Chesapeake; four sons, Jesse B. Lassiter and Linwood Lassiter of Suffolk; George E. Lassiter of Portsmouth, and William A. Lassiter of Carrsville; two half sisters, Mrs. Bessie Gilliam of Suffolk and Mrs. Estelle Pierce of Roanoke Rapids, N.C., a brother Wallace Roundtree of Roanoke Rapids; 20 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. A funeral will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in I.O. Hill & Co. Funeral Home by the Rev. William E. Hawkins. Burial will be in Holly Lawn Cemetery, Franklin [sic; Suffolk]. The family will be at the home of Jesse B. Lassiter of 121 Morgan St., Suffolk, on Tuesday. ****************************************************************************** EVA ROUNTREE LASSITER Portsmouth - A funeral services for Mrs. Eva Roundtree [sic] Lassiter, 73, was held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at I.O. Hill & Co. Funeral Home, Suffolk, by the Rev. William E. Hawkins. Burial was in Southampton Memorial Park Cemetery [sic], Franklin. She died Friday at 11:45 a.m. in a Portsmouth hospital. She was a native of Nansemond County and the wife of Burton Lassiter. She was a member of Reynoldson Baptist Church, Gates County, N.C. Other survivors include two daughters. Mrs. Kenneth L.
