Lawson Arthur Ashby Lawson, 68, of 3533 Pruden Blvd. died Wednesday in Louise Obici Memorial Hospital. A native of Winston-Salem, N.C., he was the husband of Mrs. Mary Taylor Lawson and son of the late George and Mrs. Tiney Owens Lawson. He was a self- employed nurseryman. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Winston-Salem, the Izaak Walton League, and Suffolk Golf Association. He also was a member of Hiram Masonic Lodge 340, Portsmouth Scottish Rite Bodies, Khedive Shrine Temple of Norfolk, and Suffolk Shrine Club. Other survivors include a daughter, Miss Linda Leigh Lawson of Richmond; a son, Ted R. Lawson of Windsor; a sister, Mrs. Ola Printup of Niagara Falls, N.Y.; a brother, Paul V. Lawson of Winston-Salem; and a grandchild. A funeral will be held Friday at 2:30 p.m. in Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Home by the Rev. B.J. Willett. Burial with Masonic rites will be in Bethlehem Church Cemetery.
