Callandus Mayfield 

  FOREST HEIGHTS, MD. - Callandus "Bobby" Mayfield, 43, died Aug. 27, 1993, 
in Washington, D.C.  A native of Suffolk, he was the son of the late Sylvester 
Mayfield. 

  He was employed by the D.C. government. 

  Survivors include his wife, Betty Mayfield; a daughter, Marzita L. Adams 
Jones of Suffolk; six sisters, Shirley Edwards, Everne Joe and Vivian Harrell, 
all of Suffolk, Ella Mae Brown of Forest Heights; four brothers, Pernell 
Mayfield of Suffolk, Earl Mayfield of Syracuse, N.Y., Daniel Mayfield of 
Washington, D.C., and Robert Mayfield of Forestville, Md.; 23 nieces and 
nephews; 17 great-nieces and great-nephews: and several other relatives and 
friends. 

  The funeral will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. by the Rev. H.I. Tucker in 
Olive Branch Baptist Church.  Burial will be in Holly Lawn Cemetery. 

  Plunkett Funeral Home of Washington, D.C., will be in charge of 
arrangements.
