ERNESTINE JOHNSON MUNFORD

    SUFFOLK - Ernestine Johnson Munford, 68, of the 400 block of Elizabeth 
St., a retired cashier, died April 15, in a hospital.

   Mrs. Munford, an Isle of Wight County native, retired from the Plaza Cinema 
Theater.  She was the widow of Jesse J. Munford and a Presbyterian.

   Survivors include three daughters, Edith D. Vann, Joanne M. Knight and 
Jacquelyn M. Towe, all of Suffolk; four sisters, Virginia Wilkins, Katherine 
Ellis and Hilda Morris, all of Suffolk, and Joyce Laslo of Norfolk; four 
brothers, Floyd Johnson, Earl Johnson, both of Suffolk, George Johnson of 
Chesapeake and Otis Johnson of Harrisburg, Pa.; and four grandchildren.

   The funeral was conducted Friday in Sidney F. Harrell Funeral Home by the 
Rev. Charles W. Thompson.  Burial was in Holly Lawn Cemetery.
